My Name is Nathaniel Mejia. I was born in North Carolina and raised in a military household and I was introduced to video-games at a young age. Both my parents had played with a Nintendo Entertainment System and were more open to technology, letting me play at a young age. It was through that I discovered my passion for game development. When I turned 10 I was gifted a used tablet, and with it I started to learn how to make games with various different simplistic game creation apps. It was through that opportunity that I developed dozens of unique games, I used to write my ideas on papers and get my mother to try them when she could. Upon reaching the age of 12, I was given a budget laptop as a gift and I adored it. With it I learned how to make games with Game maker Studio and made countless projects. Year after year I became better at making games. Around when I started entering High-school at 14, I attended my first GameJam, releasing Chicken Farmer for the first time.
After entering High-school I got excepted into Berkeley Middle College, a prestigious South Carolina program that helped me finish my High-school classes early and paid for my associates degree in full, allowing me to complete my associates degree at the age of 18. Upon finishing the program, I returned to creating GameJam games including Roll of Fortune. Upon considering my options, I decided to finish my 4 year degree and attend the College of Charleston. A little bit after classes had begun, I started a new club named COFC Game Developers. Within the club two games have so far been created, those being Holy Shot and Hands of Fate.
